Our team uses advanced treatment options to relieve pain and help you return to your normal life comfortably.

Acquired Flat Foot

Adult-acquired flatfoot is a condition where the foot arch collapses over time. It happens because the tendons and ligaments that support the foot become weak or damaged. As a result, you experience changes in foot shape and difficulty walking. It is more common among adults, especially women over the age of 40 and people over the age of 65.

One of the main causes is the problem with the posterior tibial tendon that supports the arch. When the tendon becomes weak or damaged, it fails to provide the needed support to the foot. And what happens is that the surrounding ligaments also weaken, causing the bones in the foot to shift out of place.

Bunions

Our feet usually change as we grow. Sometimes the big toe starts leaning in towards the other toes. And then the joint at the base of the big toe sticks out more. The condition forms a visible bump, known as a bunion, that is more likely to happen in women. It is the most common deformity. Most people with a bunion have only mild symptoms, and some of them have no symptoms at all. But these can lead to pain and sore areas.

Foot Arthritis

Foot arthritis is common among older adults. The most commonly affected area is the big toe joint, followed by joints in the midfoot. Foot arthritis can develop in different patterns. Some people have arthritis in the big toe joint, while others can have it in various other joints, and these types can have different causes and symptoms.

Foot Numbness

Foot numbness can feel like a minor inconvenience, but it can be an early warning sign of serious health conditions. Numbness is a term commonly used to describe an abnormal sensory experience. It can affect a person’s quality of life. There are two types of numbness. Evoked numbness is triggered by touch or external factors, and spontaneous numbness can happen on its own without any trigger.

Foot Pain (Chronic Foot Pain)

Foot pain is common and mostly associated with female sex, older age, and obesity. For most people, it can improve over time, but for some, it can become chronic and disabling, which affects physical activity, participation, and working capability. The impact of foot pain is greater among lower socioeconomic groups with knee or hip pain.

Hammertoe Treatment

Hammertoe is a toe deformity in which the toe bends abnormally. It causes discomfort, corns, and difficulty walking. Hammertoes are the most common forefoot deformities that arise from an imbalance between intrinsic and extrinsic musculature. The condition usually affects normal pressure distribution and balance during gait. It leads to pain, skin breakdown, cosmetic concerns, and progressive functional impairment.

Heel Spur Syndrome

A heel spur is an osseous growth that develops under the calcaneus bone. It usually arises from long-term strain on the plantar fascia, a thick band of connective tissue that links the calcaneus to the toes. The condition coexists with plantar fasciitis, which affects the plantar fascia.

Ingrown Toenail Treatment

An ingrown toenail is also known as onychocryptosis. The condition is very common in which the nail plate grows into the surrounding periungual skin. It causes inflammation and, in most cases, infection. An ingrown toenail usually affects the hallux, or big toe, and can occur at any age. However, it is particularly common among teenagers and young adults.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis arises from the degenerative irritation of the plantar fascia. It is a thick band of tissue that originates from the calcaneus and plays an important role in maintaining the normal biomechanics of the foot. It provides essential arch support and serves as a shock absorber. In the United States, most people suffer from heel pain, and the leading cause is plantar fasciitis.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

Tarsal tunnel is also known as “posterior tibial nerve neuralgia” and “tibial nerve dysfunction.” The condition is where a nerve in the ankle becomes compressed or “pinched.” It is the same as carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist, but it affects the foot and ankle. TTS is difficult to diagnose because its symptoms are similar to various other conditions, like diabetic nerve damage or plantar fasciitis. If not treated carefully, it can lead to problems like changes in foot shape and difficulty walking.

Toenail Fungus

With toenail fungus, your nails become yellow and thick. A type of mold known as dermatophyte causes tinea unguium. It is the most common nail fungus. Tinea unguium usually targets your toenails. Another name for the condition is onychomycosis. Toenail fungus happens when fungi get between the toenail and the toenail bed. It happens through a crack or cut in your toe.

Toenail Trimming and Care

Proper toenail trimming is important for patients with diabetes, circulation issues, or thickened nails. Professional care helps prevent ingrown nails, infections, and complications.
