At Care Podiatry, we provide effective care for varicose veins. Varicose veins are the swollen and twisted veins that usually appear just beneath the skin. They commonly occur in the legs and feet because standing and walking can increase pressure in the veins of the lower body. These veins usually appear blue or dark purple and look like ropes under the skin. Most people consider them a cosmetic concern, but varicose veins can cause discomfort and can lead to complications if not treated.
Our team evaluates your vein health to understand the severity and underlying cause, then creates a personalized treatment plan. The goal is to improve circulation, relieve discomfort, and help you maintain healthy, comfortable legs.
These are the large veins near the surface of the skin. The veins are mostly thick, twisted, and bulging.
These are blue or green veins that create a network pattern and usually appear behind the knees or around the ankles.
These are also known as telangiectasia. The veins are usually painless but visible in red or purple color near the skin surface.

These can occur when vein walls weaken or valves stop working properly. It allows blood to pool in the veins, which leads to swelling and twisting of the vessel. The factors that increase the pressure in the leg veins or cause damage to the vein valves can contribute to the condition.

I think it is great shoePosted on paols eolTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I took my daughter here for a sports related injury. The guys at the urgent care did not do a thorough exam they just listened to the symptoms and said she had shin splints. DR Maijala on the other hand really took his time to figure out what was wrong. He has a great foot-side manner. I would highly recommend him.Posted on Alvaro ContrerasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 10 out of 10 podiatryPosted on Manny DiazTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Varicose veins are harmless. However, there are some symptoms that show a more serious problem and need immediate medical attention. You should get urgent medical care if you experience sudden swelling in the leg, severe or worse leg pain, or bleeding from the varicose vein that doesn’t stop.
Signs of infection, such as swelling, redness, or discharge near the affected vein, also need quick medical assessment to prevent further complications.
